The continue of my x365 project

A little more than a year ago, I started a project called x365, which is supposed to be a year-long journey, writing short vignettes about 365 people who have touched your life. The idea was started and finished by a blogger, and although his project is finished, he keeps the x365 blogroll updated for those who are started, finished or stalled.

I've been stalled for approximately a year now, but thought I'd keep going at it, when I have the time, here in this tab so it doesn't have to interfere with my other posts. I will be doing them in 27 words instead, now, since the idea it to write the word count of your age. I made it through 111 people, only 255 more to go...

26 x 365: Featured Every Friday: Life at my dad's

26 x 365: Day 111, Uncle Buddy (1982 to 2004)

I realize that the “Melted Midget” jokes were terribly mean.

But, I think my dad really loved you.

I was always annoyed with your constant mooching.

26 x 365: Day 110, Lisa (1996 to 2000)

I don’t think I’ve hated someone more.

You sucked the life out of my dad, before and after your death.

I don’t know he’ll ever recover.

26 x 365: Day 109, Uncle Donnie (1989 to Now)

My dad’s best friend—you literally were family.

I hadn’t seen you in years.

I was weirded-out when I felt like you were hitting on me.

26 x 365: Day 108, Aunt Mandy (1989 to Now)

You and Donnie were the perfect husband and wife.

Your love and passion radiated.

How and where did it go wrong? It makes me so sad.

26 x 365: Day 107, Jerry (1989 to Now)

I used to have a middle-school crush on you.

Last time I saw you, you bashed “big-city” Seattle.

I marveled on how different I’ve grown. Thankfully.

26 x 365: Day 106, Kristina (1989 to Now)

I think you always secretly hated having to entertain me.

And I think you secretly hated your step-dad too.

I wonder if you keep in touch…

26 x 365: Day 105, Uncle David (1990 to Now)

You’re always just lying on the couch.

You really seem to love your daughters.

I can’t figure out if you feel the same about my Aunt.

26 x 365: Featured Every Friday (sometimes I cheat)

26 x 365: Day 104, Joey (2007)

We seemed destined for unexplainable fate—perhaps slightly too perfect,

And a little “too good to be true.”

Cause it just didn’t click face to face.

26 x 365: Day 103, Steve. B (2005 to Now)

“Waiter, one glass of milk please!” ;)

A little quirky, very smiley and extraordinarily talented.

I’ve only known you through Sarah, but always enjoy your company.

26 x 365: Day 102, Troy (2006 to Now)

Something about you is just so dang sexy.

Now you’re moving in with one of my best friends, down the street from me.

That spells Trouble.

26 x 365: Day 101, Caitlin (2007 to Now)

I enjoy getting to know you, better and better.

And love how happy you make Josh.

I wish you the best in your blossoming publishing career.

26 x 365: Day 100, Nancy L. (1992 to Now)

I blame you for the way your daughter turned out.

The pressure to be popular, and always perfect.

It's enough to drive a person crazy. Clearly.

26 x 365: Day 99, Darcy (2000 to 2004)

We hung in the same social circles for years at Western.

I saw you today, pregnant and working at Starbucks.

You couldn’t even remember my name.

26 x 365: Day 98, Dave M. (2007 to Now)

“Boy,” I can’t express how happy I feel about you meeting, “Girl.”

You two are perfect compliments.

I feel that someday you’ll be my Dolphin Brother.

26 x 365: Featured Every Friday

26 x 365: Day 97, David H. (1992 to Now)

In 5th grade , you were one of the cutest boys.

9th through 12th grade, I was intimidated.

It’s great to laugh together now at bowling.

26 x 365: Day 96, Shannon P. (1994 to Now)

Growing up, I admired your athleticism and personality.

In high school you blossomed into a buxom blonde.

Despite some differences, you’ll always be a lifelong friend.

26 x 365: Day 95, Phil D. (2007 to Now)

You married Shan last year.

We all joke that you’ll be gardening without a shirt, and we’ll watch.

I hope I find a husband like you.

26 x 365: Day 94, Megan B. (2003 to Now)

In journalism, you stood out to me as someone I’d get along with.

I befriended you, and we lived together junior year.

I miss our friendship.

26 x 365: Day 93, Lisa G. (2003 to Now)

You were the roommate I didn’t really connect with.

We butted heads.

Now, I think we all realize and cherish the bond we shared that year.

26 x 365: Day 92, Jillian W. (1994 to Now)

You’re my longest friend.

We never hang out and took different paths.

You’ll always be there to pick right back up with. And me to you.

26 x 365: Day 91, Josh S. (1997 to Now)

I’ve almost known you as long as Jill.

As high school sweethearts, I didn’t used to approve.

Now I think you actually might make it. Hopefully.

26 x 365: Featured Every Friday

26 x 365: Day 83, Stacey (1990 to Now)

You and Richard seemed like two peas in a pod.

His death and drug addiction baffles me.

I hope you get a third chance at love.

26 x 365: Day 82, Lacey (2005 to Now)

You’re a disgusting girl.

Abortions and jumping from one trashy guy to the next…

I’ve never liked you; I’m glad I don’t have to pretend anymore.

26 x 365: Day 81, Shawn (2005 to 2005)

You hurt my BFF so much, her only solution was to move away.

You would have been lucky to have her.

She’s so much better off.

26 x 365: Day 80, Doug (2006 to 2007)

We all thought you were perfect—handsome and charismatic.

Sarah was smitten, and you threw her away.

Now you’re obsessed and beg for her back. Karma!

26 x 365: Day 79, Lisa F. (2001 to 2004)

I used to hate your big annoying laugh.

Took me awhile to learn you had a big, bottomless heart to go with it.

You were great.

26 x 365: Day 78, Wenarto (2006 to Now)

You’re a social butterfly with tons of friends all over Seattle.

And you always throw huge, fun parties.

I wish I didn’t associate you with Tre.

26 x 365: Day 77, Ellie (2001 to 2004)

You were such a snot and terribly unfriendly.

I hope you and your Canadian boyfriend broke up and your fake acting career failed.

And you’re miserable.

26 x 365; Featured Every Friday

26 x 365: Day 76, Jesse R. (2000 to 2001)

My first crush at Western—

You wooed and pursued until we hooked up.

I shake my head and laugh at what I ever saw in you.

26 x 365: Day 75, Jerry L. (1991 to 2000)

Your smile and laugh rings throughout my childhood.

I remember all the times you did the Moonwalk in our dugout.

You seemed like an amazing dad.

26 x 365: Day 74, Keenan (1997 to Now)

You called me pale and stumpy with frizzy hair—

During the years that are hardest for girls.

It’s taken me so long to forgive and forget.

26 x 365: Day 73, Richard (1990 to 2007)

You were like my Neighbor Dad, growing up.

I don’t know what happened; my heart breaks to think of you.

I’m sorry I missed your funeral.

26 x 365: Day 72, Cailin (2002 to Now)

I always thought you were ridiculously stylish.

We became really close, but I couldn’t handle your abusive boyfriend.

I hope life treats you well, former friend.

26 x 365: Day 71, Hubba Hubba (2005 to 2006)

Ah. My Russian friend from Tully’s.

I miss our banter and inside jokes during my days as a barista.

Hubba, hubba, baby! You made my workdays.

26 x 365: Day 70: Jamie (1991 to 2000)

We dated for a minute after my first love.

You tried so hard, but you were the worst kisser ever.

You told everyone I was! LOL!

26 x 365: Featured Every Friday

26 x 365: Day 69, Cari L. (2003 to Now)

There are some people I wish I had spent more time with outside of college.

You’re one of them.

I think we could’ve been great friends.

26 x 365: Day 68, Davis C. (1991 to Now)

Always the smiley, good-natured kid throughout school.

You’ve recently come home from war and moved to my neighborhood.

You’re not quite the same happy-go-lucky person. Understandably.

26 x 365: Day 67, Joel J. (1992 to Now)

You scooted your desk next to me in elementary.

And chased me with your scabby elbow in high school.

I miss you being my pseudo brother.

26 x 365: Day 66, Drew (2004 to 2005)

You, me and Amanda were the inseparable three that summer.

I can remember your laugh and the gap between your teeth.

Not gonna lie; you’re missed.

26 x 365: Day 65, Abbie L. (2001 to 2004)

Best friends with Kath, you were both a little “off.”

I tried for so long to be your friend.

You ended up disliking me anyway. Whatever.

26 x 365: Day 64, Kyle (2006 to 2007)

You tattled to me about your best friend’s actions.

Then tried to sleep with me a month later.

Were your “friendly” actions calculated the whole time?

26 x 365: Day 63: Haley W. (2001 to Now)

We were instant friends when we met at JC Penny’s Styling Salon.

You’ve helped me through some rough times, Sister.

You deserve only the very best.

26 x 365: Featured Every Friday

26 x 365: Day 62, Josh F. (2002 to Now)

We bonded in college over late-night hours at The Western Front.

You came back into my life as Luke’s cousin.

Random, but I’m oh so grateful.

26 x 365: Day 61, Jesse H. (2007 to Now)

One of the hottest older boys in high school—

I about melted when we hooked up at the wedding.

You called me recently. I considered, considering.

26 x 365: Day 60, Kendra (1997 to Now)

I’ve gritted my teeth and put up with you all for your sister.

But your personality extremely bothers me.

How do twins end up so different?

26 x 365: Day 59, Finn (2006 to Now)

You developed a crush when no one else noticed me.

I caved and accepted a date with you.

I should have gone with my gut feeling.

26 x 365: Day 58, Sarah Z. (2000 to Now)

We were inseparable freshman year.

The Bush is in the bush! LOL.

We drifted apart, but I am so excited to catch back up next week.

26 x 365: Day 57, Amanda J. (2000 to 2001)

Silly, beautiful and slightly crazy in the head.

We had some great times in the dorms.

You loved and lost, and seemed confused with your identity.

26 x 365: Day 56: Ella (2000 to Now)

Weird and un-ladylike.

You got the short end of the stick as my dad’s potential fourth wife.

I’m not even sure my dad can be happy.

26 x 365: Featured every Friday

26 x 365: Day 55, Kim S. (1990 to Now)

You told me once to not say “God” in your yard.

I thought you were a religious wacko.

I still can’t stand the sight of you.

26 x 365: Day 54, Adam H. (2004 to Now)

You were so different when we first met.

Now, the bar scene has overcome you—you’re always messed up.

I hope you make it out okay.

26 x 365: Day 53, Ashley J. (1990 to Now)

Tea parties in your backyard, Bubble Bobble for hours and inseparable for years.

Now apparently you’re married and Mormon?!

It’s probably good we’re not close anymore.

26 x 365: Day 52, Dad—Steve (1985 to Now)

We’re more alike than my dad and I will ever be.

It takes a great man to adopt and treat me like you do.

You’re amazing.

26 x 365: Day 51, Amy L. (1991 to 2006)

We used to be best friends since 4th grade.

I seriously think you have a chemical imbalance.

Cause I’ve seen some certifiably insane behavior from you.

26 x 365: Day 50, Kim E. (1994 to 2000)

You did everything you could to make my life miserable.

Ears hot, watching you giggle and everyone looking at me.

You got knocked up. Twice. Ha.

26 x 365: Day 49: Erica L. (1997 to 2000)

We worked together for two years and were close.

Then, for reasons unknown, you were too cool and wouldn’t acknowledge me.

I will never understand why.

26 x 365: Featured every Friday in the future

If there's one thing I despise in my life, it's clutter and disorganization. I feel that the little x365 project I've started is cluttering up my blog a little, and making it hard to find the longer posts I write, for those of you who are only interested in reading those. So, I've decided that I'll make one post, every Friday, featuring my x365s for the week. Hope this is okay with all of you opinionated blog readers.

26 x 365: Day 48, Grandma (1982 to Now)

My heart bleeds with love for you.

If I lived nearby, I’d be fat.

I don’t want to think about a life without you in it.

26 x 365: Day 47, Stacey (1989 to Now)

You’re my fake stepsister.

Your life has been rough. An After-School Special.

I feel like you hate me cause I took a different path than you.

26 x 365: Day 46, Vanessa (1994 to Now)

Dolphin Number Two.

You’re quite the catch. Smart, beautiful, charming, athletic, etc.

It’s not your fault. Mike should have done everything he could to keep you.

26 x 365: Day 44, Sue (2006 to Now)

I’ve seen John go through girl after girl. A bit of a playboy.

I’m glad you snagged him; he’s so happy.

I like you. That's rare.

26 x 365: Day 43, John (2004 to Now)

I liked you the least of the entire bunch.

Who would have thought we’d end up the closest?

Thankfully, you’ve transitioned from crush to best friend.

26 x 365: Day 42: Brittany (2005 to Now)

We’re essentially just friends because you blog stalk me. Ha Ha.

I’ve enjoyed becoming a real world friend too.

Your accomplishments this past year are inspiring.
